FTB Horizons v1.0.7

I posted a picture below.
I can log in just fine. start up is ok. Everything works great, until I notice this white square in my character's hands. This is supposed to be the book for the tinkerer's construct mod, but no, its just a square. I tossed it aside, went on my merry way, then BOOM! crashed. Minecraft ran out of memory. I thought this was weird, started everything up again, and THIS time went into creative mode. I checked some textures and what do u know, pages and pages of textures are missing (I posted a pic). Blocks will show up just fine but the crashing is annoying, as minecraft keeps running out of memory. Also, It appears that there is more wrong than just the textures when I look at the console. about 40 lines of text per second will flow up the console screen repeating the same things. Lastly, I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but when I start up the Horizons pack, several rather large blocks of code flash on the console screen while FTB is loading the mod pack. I really like the mod pack, as I was able to play it before the update to 1.0.7. This is not so now. I've tried force updating and nothing changes. It's always the same thing. I just want to play the game. ;_; please help. What is happening? How can I fix this?

IF THIS IS NOT WHERE THIS THREAD GOES: please do state where I am to post this, as I do not use forums often and am quite the noob with them.

You will need to remove any existing java versions and install the latest x64 one from here.

The reason is because 32bit java will only allow 1gb of ram to be allocated to java. After you install the 64bit java remember allocate more ram to the launcher and the optimal is between, depending on your available ram, 2 to 4gb.
