What files are essential to a backup

I am writing batch files to backup my server and so far I am just doing the world and plugin directory. If something happens to the server I want to be able to just uncompress and copy the backups over. Are any other files/folders essential for a backup?

Nothing else essential, especially if you're using one of the packs on the launcher. If you're not, I recommend saving the mods and config folders
