Which warning are you referring to? At the moment your install path appears to be in your Downloads folder. To change the install path, go into the Options tab and change the 'Install folder...'

Edit: You should restart the launcher to ensure the setting takes effect.

I found the launcher in the downloads. but i can't find the ftb file with all the modpack folders. I'm also trying to find the screenshot folders with-in the ftb modpack folder.

You are going to have to do a search of your computer and hope they are still there. Search for files like 'level.dat' or 'r0.0.mca' as well as 'saves' You might also want to check your %AppData% folder. In a previous post your screenshots were appearing in your roaming folder in your %AppData% folder.

I can't seem to find it in any of those files. I did find one in my recycle bin could I just restore it? will it sync with my current ftb launcher?

Probably not sync, but you should be worried about the saves not the packs. The packs can be redownloaded. If you wish to find out where it will be restored change the view on your Recycle bin to Details. The Original Location will be where the folder will be restored to. If you like where it is going to be restored you can restore it backup your save and then change the 'Install folder...' in the launcher to it and then restart the launcher and see if it works.

Let me ask this. What files come with the launcher when its downloaded. All I got was an ftb launcher log, minecraft log and the launcher which I had to find in my downloads. What other files if any am I supposed to get with the launcher. I think last time Installed the launcher it came with a folder called FTB on my desktop which had all the modpacks listed with the screenshot files inside each modpack.

I have not installed base launcher in a long time so I might miss a few files. When you first open the launcher on a machine that has not had the launcher on it before you get an option to where you wish to install the packs. The recommended place is a folder you create named FTB on your Desktop. What you decide then is where the mod pack folders are put. Inside those folders, like you said, is where your screenshots and saves are. Now the launcher keeps information about these options inside the %AppData% folder in its own folder name ftblauncher. Inside that folder is where the launcher keeps its information about where it is to look for mod packs and what you've selected as far as download location, arguments, language and other options.

I hope that is what you wanted to know and was explained well enough. I'm a little groggy.

Ok I got it now. Turns out I did create a folder called FTB and just took a few screenshots so the screenshot folder is in there.

Thank you for your support I appreciate it. I am such a big FTB fan so i'm glad everything is working now.
