You might want to check the Community Showcases forum. Lots of base pictures there.

As for myself: I breed my bees in a giant wooden honeycomb with a glass roof. 3 rooms for apiaries, 3 rooms for alvearies, and the central room has processing.

Mines in a greenhouse I built based on the quick shot we got of Rorax's(I think) greenhouse(had the green stained glass from forestry on the rof), in Dire's previous season of Forgecraft... Serious mission building the roof curving upwards!!! looks great tho and I can fit my forestry tree breeding in it as well...

A mess most of the time, function over form until I have all species I want then tidy up tweak automation & more or less forget about, but then we move on to butterflies, dont we!

Mine's just a big 17x17 room with a glass roof, the only nod to aesthetics is that it is constructed from alternating layers of black and yellow Rockwool. I have 6 apiaries along the back wall and all my machines along the left hand wall. Liquid DNA is in the cellar underneath, but I couldn't find a good place to put a stairwell so it's just a hole that I get in and out of with a jetpack.

I'm not a good designer, so I just made a bunch of floors vertically with the goal of operating within a single chunk when running chunk loaders. The base where I am is really just a hole in a ground and we operate with jetpacks so things like stairs have not been made. Lol. All bee items are sorted in barrels at the top floor and excess are sent to the recycler via ender chests.
