Funny story, I've lost at least three of those things over the past while. First was when I was messing with unstable ingots, then when I did something, then when I tried coming back from the promised lands and spawned in a wall.
I did not get much stuff back at any point.

I'm currently just in the starting gear of batpack/jetpack, thaumium leggings enchanted with protection IV and repair II and long fall boots with haste II (anvil). I had a thaumium helmet but it got crap for enchants, did have fire resistance IV, though, so I used it for taking on blazes. I'm going to add unbreaking, thorns etc. for the leggings and boots should get protection IV and haste III, too. Probably going to have boots of the traveller in the end but they tend to be annoying at times when you're just fiddling in your base.
