What do you use to play Minecraft?

my computer can only be described as such
A crappy dual core(some single cores are even faster) computer with 2GB of ram and a GeForce 7600...huh..GT?
a harddrive that fails me too often for its own good and a power supply that needs replacement since 3 years ago(The computer doesn't start up sometimes)

Basically, it's thanks to Optifine I can play.
 
I use a solid 2 year old Toshiba laptop. i5 M450 @ 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM, GeForce GT 330M, 500GB hard drive. Runs 60+ FPS vanila and about 40+ modded with Optifine, but as soon as I start having a lot of stuff going on (quarry, Item sorter, various logic timers, etc) it slows down to an unplayable 10 FPS or so :( . Hoping to build my own within the next year.

Quick question good sir: from your sig I see a case, a processor, a cpu cooler, a motherboard, memory, PSU, 2 SSDs, and a HDD, but where is the GPU, or am I just missing something?

my desktop with 4gb of ram, 2.8ghz quad core and an tb harddisc
 
I built a brand new gaming rig because my old system was an old single core Athlon build, and now the only game I really play is Minecraft. Well at least I'm able to run a server pretty easily.
 
my spec is this untill I upgrade.

Case = Antec 900
CPU = AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 125W C3 (Socket AM3) Processor - Retail ( I will be overclocking this to just under 4GHZ soon)
Cooler = Artec Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
PSU = 500W Corsair Builder Series 500CX Power Supply
MOBO = Asus M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 880G Socket AM3 Onboard 128MB Memory DVI VGA HDMI Out ATX Motherboard
RAM = G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5v
HDD = 1TB Samsung HD103SJ SpinPoint F3 SATA-II 3.5" Hard Drive
GPU = AMD Radeon HD 7950

His gpu is there... EVGA GTX670 SC

That aside, I'm running 4 GB DDR2 ram with 2-2-2-5 timings, an AMD Phenom 2 black edition quad core, oc'd to 4.0GHz cooled with a 144mm Zalman. 2 GTX250's SLI'd (Won these at blizzcon). 2 SSD's, one for OS and games often played, the other for games seldom played, and the HDD to store other stuff. I would love to put optifine on it, but every time I do, the textures get messed up, or I get a LOT of holes in my world. Not that I need it, but I would like to bump up to some 512 textures. which I will need optifine to do, given my low amount of ram.

nice, wish mine was as good. but mine was quite cheap for what it has.
 
there computer i use is a adventDT2111 it is a very fast and good computer but is that just because its new??
i bet when more windows patches come out its going to get worse and worse this will be because they dont remove old software!!!!

i7-2700K, 8 gigs of ram, and a GT240 (which is next on the upgrade list cos I want to be able to record MWO and GW2 at decent levels)
