I know you have pure, pale, normal, sinister, hungry and fading nodes, but what do they all do? I noticed a fading node is kinda like pulsing and I thought the aspects would disappear out 'em. Pale and pure are the nodes in Silverwood trees. Does anyone have an answer?

Answer to the question:
Sinister Nodes
create Eerie Biomes around them, and spawn Furious Zombies.
Tainted Nodes create Tainted Lands around them.
Pure Nodes purify the area around them, converting Tainted Lands into Magical Forests.
Hungry Nodes absorb blocks and entities (including the player) that are within its area, as well as absorbing the aspects of whatever it devours.
Unstable Nodes randomly change their aspects.
Normal Nodes have no special qualities.

Bright Nodes regenerate their aspects at a faster rate than normal.
Pale Nodes regenerate their aspects at a slower rate than normal.
Fading Nodes do not regenerate their aspects.

From what I understand, Fading basically doesn't regenerate aspects, pale regenerates slowly (slower then normal), Pure helps combat taint and hungry eats everything in a set radius. I'm guessing sinister is what spawns the furious zombies but other then that I have no idea.

The sinster nodes indeed spawn in those Furious Zombies and they can be found in Obisidian tiles. I found an Unstable node. No clue what that does

Unstable used to spew out flux. Maybe similar in TC4?

What do you mean? (By the way: Your cheat sheets for Thaumcraft and Thaumic Tinkerer are AWESOME!)

pure nodes are often obtained from Silverwood Trees, you might have the rare chance of finding a pure node in the wild, but the chance is low.
these pure nodes from Silverwood Trees have the ability to change the biome type from what it is, to a magical forest biome.
with the magical forest biome you're able to plant mana beans on trees and grow them.

but if a pure node has become pale, the node might have lost the ability to change a biome's type.

pure convert every biome into magic forest, not just taint.

dark nodes do not exist, I guess you mean sinister? ;)

and bright, pale and fading are modifiers to the node, not a node itself (you might want to clarify that)

I got that answer from a member here and I understood the answer. And yes, the dark nodes are sinister nodes.

Pure loses it's ability to change biomes around it when it becomes pale.

Now, tainted nodes, however...
