So I remember that FTB Ultimate (or whatever Unleashed's predecessor was called) had, by default, some biomes in the ExtraBiomesXL mod disabled. I don't like it when parts of a mod are disabled. Does Unleashed do something similar? The Wiki wouldn't mention it.

Just curious, but why is FTB Unleashed now using another biome mod? What happened to ExtraBiomesXL? I really liked the Savannah and, Redwood, Wasteland, and those red rocky hills biomes from ExtraBiomesXL. Will Biomes'o'Plenty provide those as well?

Lastly, I just learned that FTB Unleashed got its new name because RP2 was discontinued. Will FTB get a replacement mod for the redstone and the logic gates soon? I really loved those features (lighting blocks were very nice too, but not of salient importance like redstone wires and logic gates)

1. The launcher does have an edit modpack function. Should be on the left of where you choose the modpack's versiin.
2. Biome pack, no idea but I do like BoP a lot too.
3. The name change wasn't due to RP2. It was with regards to 2 mods that specifically requested to not be included with one another and therefore 2 packs were released under the names Unleashed and Unhinged.

Most of the redstone stuff from RP is incorpareted into MFR now. I personally prefer the biomes in BoP than in EBXL, and it gives a couple good replacements, but maybe it's worth adding in EBXL. When they we're developing the pack I had hoped they'd add both. Lastly I don't think any of the mod's features are disabled, some of the mods are completely disabled though.

Various biomes have village spawning set to false as it would make no sense for them to spawn, but ever biome is set to true when it comes to it spawning.

But it's like that in BoP by default because villages would spawn peculiarly.

Could you be a little more specific? You're telling me that I can still create compact redstone wiring that can scale along walls and ceilings, right? What's the new redstone called?

Also, what about the lighting blocks from RP2? Those were very neat and I'd love to know if they're incorporated into the Unleashed pack in some way.

RedNet cable, learn them, love them. :)
Regarding light blocks, a few choices there. IIRC, MFR got road lights and Thermal Expansion have glowstone illuminator.

RedNet cable/controllers are actually better than RP2 if you ask me, the controllers can do so many different things. And yes, rednet cable is just like redstone wiring in that it can go anywhere you want it to go.

RedNet doesn't have the same fine control that red alloy wire had, with cover strips and insulated wire to exactly control which blocks are connected and which are not. Rednet has "forced connection" and "cable only" modes, which can be useful. The 16 channels plus signal strength propagation are awesome though.
