building easier? as in...? i know there are building guides in open blocks, those help with spheres and other shapes. it really depends on what you're looking for help with.

for blocks, try the chisel and carpenters blocks mods.

Well there are a bunch of mods that help with building. My personal list:

Buildcraft: adds a filler and a builder. The filler allows you to clear land fast or create certain default structures (like box or pyramid). The builder* is amazing. There is a whole system in place that allows you to store your builds in a blueprint. That blueprint can that be put in a builder and it can rebuild that exact same structure! Best part? It can save that blueprint, allowing you to recrate whatever you build in another map! No more restarting worlds and losing your most amazing builds. *Note that this functionality is from mincraft version 1.7 and up.

Bibliocraft: does not realy do much for building, but adds alot of display cases to show off items. Has support for alot of wood variants found in biome mods like Biomes O plenty and natura.

Carpenters blocks: Does not make building easier per sé, but it does allows you to make things like doors/slabs/stairs for every block you have. Even of they otherwise woudnt have stairs/slabs/etc. They also allow for slopes and a bunch of other shapes.

Chisel: adds alot of cosmetic blocks. Adds a tool that allows you to swap between similar blocks. Does not realy help alot with building itself, but does make certain blocks alot easier to get and adds a ton of extra building blocks.

Dartcraft: has 2 realy awesome features. A clipboard, wich is a pocket crafting table that just absolutly amazing. Has a few buttons and some build in logic that makes anny other crafting table look very underdeveloped. It also has bags with item cards. The cool thing here is that they can be configured to automaticly refill stacks of blocks in your inventory. Allowing you to store your building blocks inside the bags while simply having 1 of each type in your inventory. Realy usefull for inventory management.

Extra Utilities: Has a builder wand that allows you to place rows of blocks with a single click. It follows already placed blocks, so you could use it to quickly build up walls or towers. It also has a bunch of cosmetic blocks with connected textures, pretty nice!

Forge MultiPart: smaller building blocks for every block, just awesome. Also allows things like torches and lever to be in the same 1x1 area.

MFFS: Makes forcefields, but its alot more awesome then that. Can be used to clear large spaces of land, the force fields can be turned into blocks creating real structures and last but not least, you can coppy an existing building and rebuild it. You cant save it to a file though, so only works within the same world. Another realy cool feature is that it allows you to move existing blocks. Meaning that if you build this big castle but realy want it a few more blocks to the right? Well this could do that for you.

Railcraft: I personally realy like the cosmetic blocks it adds. Also adds in well to support buildcraft.

Tinkers Construct: Does not realy help with building, but it helps alot with clearing land. It adds tools that effect a 3x3 area instead of the single 1 block of standard tools. Also adds a bunch of cosmetic blocks and a chisel to make more variants.

Thaumcraft: wand of equal exchange, allows you to swap already placed blocks with a different block in your inventory. Can do tens of blocks with a single click! So build a rough layout from dirt and cobble. Tell the wand to use netherbrick and click the dirt, tada all the dirt is netherbrick. Tell the wand to use stone bricks and click the cobble and you now have a netherbrick and stonebrick building instead of dirt and cobble. Thaumcraft also has alot of addons and a bunch of blocks and cosmetic additions.

Thermal Expansion: Not realy for building, but for creating blocks. Can make cobblestone/stone, can make sand from cobble stone, can make mossy stone variants aswell as cracked. Has a machine that can automaticly craft. Allowing you to make machine setups that take water/power and output things like sandstone/cracked stone bricks/mossy cobblestone/etc

I am sure there are more, havent quite found them yet :p
