What are my options? (Thaumcraft Related)

I thought it would be a cool idea to start my basic base inside a barrow hill. In a few days I have got myself setup with a wheat farm,cow farm and pig farm (al manual :( atm ), and then the problems begin.

The node in th hill (which I wasn't aware of at the time ), spews out wisps which have managed to kill me a few times. So its rather annoying.

Do I need to move my basic base or is there something I can do , bearing in mind I have done absolutely nothing with Thaumcraft yet, too remedy my problem?
 
At this early stage, best to move until you have more protection from Wisps.
 
box floors 2 and 3 of the barrow structure in glass. that should at least keep them from killing you, and they make for lovely decoration.
 
Jepp propably wall them in for now. Later you can think about an automated wisp-killer featuring tesla-coils or such to get a lot of wispy-essences.

Just leave the hill be and build some house next to it, later you can move back in if you have means to control the wisps.
