I am running a BC quarry and funneling the contents into diamond chests and manually sorting for the time being. The problem I am having is that items are flying out. When I use EnderIO item conduits, the first chest fills up and everything else flies out instead of going to the next chest. When I use BC transfer pipes the items round robin into all chests but items still come flying out randomly before any chest is full.

I know I can fix the problem with tesseracts and advanced item filters, but I need something that will fix the problem for a much lower cost. (no ender pearls)

I am running infinity 2.5.0 and the quarries are being fed from a big reactor at maximum input, so the solution has to be able to handle a large throughput. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

With BC you want diamond pipes at every chest and configure the path back toward the quarry with some item that the quarry won't produce (like stone wall). That way items will enter the pipe and either continue on or into the chest (it is sort of random) but they will not head back to the quarry.

Also, the other gotcha is chunk loading. The quarry is chunk loaded as well as the area it is operating in. However, that doesn't mean your sorting is. When you leave the area it could be unloading the sorting system. This is most likely what is happening in your case. Do you have a pic of your sorting setup? Does it work while you are there (AFK)?

I do not have a picture, but I will try both of those solutions. Thank you for your help.

Clay pipes can be used to attempt an insert on attached containers and are better for this scenario if you're not trying to explicitly sort with diamond ones.

Doesn't really explain your item-flying behaviour though.

So I switched to creative mode so I could test different solutions and see what was wrong. I tried fully configured diamond pipes, fully upgraded EnderIO item conduits with advanced item filters and 15 speed upgrades, I tried item transfer nodes, and I tried the chunk loader. All items failed. I have to assume the issue is the throughput of the items are clogging up the works.

I actually came up with a much simpler solution. I put the energy conduit under the quarry and put 4 chests directly adjacent to the quarry, top, sides, front. This solution did not give me a completely "don't worry about it" solution, but the round robin style loading does give me 4x more of a buffer until I can afford ender pearls for tesseracts. Damn ender pearls, always my bottleneck.
