What am I doing wrong? [Storage System]

I can't find out what seems to be wrong with my storage system. The filter should be pulling the items that I put in the enderchest out and through the pneumatic tubes. The items I put in the enderchest just get stuck in the filter, and don't come out the tubes. The timer is definitely working, it is facing the right way, the filter is connected to the tubes. I just don't see what the problem with this setup is.

Come someone point out to me what I did wrong?
(Excuse me if this seems like an extremely stupid question)

To OP, if you use a router you wont need pipes going into your barrels.
