Another town, another threat. I honestly don't know why I keep at this job, because it only seems to bring me trouble. It's all I know how to do though, and it puts food on the table more regularly than it does claws in my back. The rain pours down outside my windows, and I watch the wizards casting spells to keep themselves dry.

Never liked wizards. They do wear funny hats though.

Well, I guess I'd better start paying attention to what's going in the town a bit more. I head out the door, grabbing my overcoat and umbrella as I go. Time to sit in the corner of the local cafe and get listening.

Basically, it's an ingrained anti-smite reflex. However, in this game, nobody is smited on the first day, so we're just doing it for the heck of doing it.
