Details of the issue:

I get 50fps max (Without recording) while playing with moderate settings. (Fancy graphics, smooth lighting, 16 render distance). This doesn't make sense at all. I have an I7-3770K (No OC 3.9ghz), 16GB DDR3, and a GTX 670 (2GB). My CPU usage barely reaches 20% while playing, and the same goes for my GPU. I am needing much better performance for Youtube. I just don't understand why my performance sucks so much. It never used to be like this (Monster, etc). Yes I have tried setting my GPU (Nvidia CP) to run javaw.exe, and java.exe at max performance, but it still doesn't help. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!​

8 threads => 1 thead = 12.5% => 20 % = 1,6 threads running at full capacity. That's normal for applications like MC.

Either way....don't you think my performance is low? Not sure whats going on here, so please help.

Not really. 1.7.10 is a mess, be happy that you have 50 fps with those settings, a lot of people can only dream of that. Having said that, how much RAM did you allocate to ftb? You might be able to get some performance gain when playing with that session depending on how much it is set currently.

Is it really that bad? (I never really knew since I haven't been playing much since Redpower 2 was dropped (Yes I know, Eloraam is on it)). Why did it go to shit performance wise? Here's a screenshot of my F3 on Inventions.

You could try adding Optifine and see if you get any problems with it, there's also BetterFPS which may help you a little, and you can switch the settings to Fast graphics and disable smooth lighting

Seems to have helped. I can now record with around 55-60ish fps, however optifine has caused a weird flicker in my game. The flicker makes everything see through just for a split second. Any way to fix?

Play a bit with the settings optifine provides. Sorry that I can't be more precise I tend to avoid optifine due to it often having issues with mods
