Weird explosion (i think)

I'm playing on a server with the mindcrack pack, but lately I am the only one online. I made a chunk loader recently to keep my mass fabricator working when I'm not online (enabled it in config).

Today I was checking my machines and noticed my Industrial Blast Furnace was gone. I thought it was a visual bug, so I relogged. Still not there. Also noticed the dirt underneath was gone (3*3 and 1 deep). The golden cable between MFE and IBF was untouched. My casings were all there too.

Okay, so far: I thought my IBF somehow exploded...

Then I noticed my redwood tree next to it, or better not noticed it. It was gone, except for 2 blocks. My turtle and disk drive for automated wood-collection were still there. My barrel with sapplings was gone too. No other blocks missing there. One IBF explosion can't take out a huge tree, can it??

Someone can help me with this mystery?? There was no other player involved.

tldr; mysterious dissappearance of IBF, 9 dirt, barrel with sapplings and a redwood tree (except 2 trunk-pieces).

I recently started thaumcraft, maybe to much Vis in the air (I know very little of thaumcraft...)?

Checked the server log. No other players online between the last view of the IBF and the dissappearance...

You said your turtle for wood harvesting was still there.

Is it possible your turtle harvested the tree?

Then if it's not griefing and your turtle didn't do it then I think you might have had a chunk reset on you.

Chunk resets don't leave holes.

Looks like an explosion to me. A bit odd that the cabling survived, but the 3x3 dirt hole is definitely a sign of an explosion.

No, the program cuts down the whole tree, nothing remains... But 2 blocks were still there.

Yup, that was my first thought 2. But also odd that my barrel (4 blocks away) also went missing...[DOUBLEPOST=1364378078][/DOUBLEPOST]Maybe an important note: I'm still on the 1.4.7 mindcrack pack.

If you have absolute nothing but air between the the IBF and the barrel, it's possible the explosion retained enough strength to blow up your barrel.

Yes, but why did the golden cable survive?

I'm guessing the IBF exploded and dropped lava, which burned down the tree and the barrel, but wasn't a strong enough explosion to affect other stuff.

The red ? was the barrel location, the yellow ? was the tree (still see the remains) and the blue ? was the IBF (notice also how the torch between the barrel and IBF survived??).

The missing casing pieces are used on my implosion compressor. They weren't destroyed.

I'm sorry, I have no clue. It can't have been an explosion, definitely not overvoltage-explosion, cause the gold cable would be gone in both cases. The torch in between the IBF and the barrel survived, so again, not an explosion.

I'm starting to think of a bug in the turtle? Maybe something went wrong and it mined the IBF and barrel or something? I do not know of any strange minecraft phenomenon that could have caused this.
