Are you using a VPN or a Proxy server? If not then try updating your network card drivers and deleting the windows settings for your current network and re adding the network.

Im actually the one who posted this. Its a friend of mine who was playing with me on my server. I was over at his house today trying to troubleshoot. It was working fine the other day but then i updated my server to run on the direwolf20 1.0.9 from the 1.0.7. He was getting issues on the launcher hanging up and not displaying any of the mods. So I had him delete everything from the ftb folder in the roaming folder. Now its giving this error. I copied everything from the ftb folder in roaming and the one i have on the desktop and ran it off his computer. The game will tell me it cannot communicate with the mojang servers and asks if you want to play offline. Once ingame it wont connect to the server, it acts like the computer doesnt have an internet connection. Now we used to use Hamachi, but i was able to get my normal IP to work so we quit using it. I just deleted the different networks off my end that i had in hamachi, not sure that would cause it. But he was able to play the other day without using hamachi. I even tried loggin into regual minecraft and that gave some big wall o text with the same win socket error 87. Im thinking he picked up a virus or some malware and might just do a fresh win install for him.
