Decided to try out the new TC ore "doubling" mechanic with making native clusters in an auto crucible and dumping them into an infernal furnace with 3 bellows and access to ignis. I started out by cooking 32 iron bars into metallum to fuel the auto smelter in this setup:
Anyway, I ended up with 44 native iron clusters made from the 32 iron bars used for fuel and 44 iron ore. I thought I had come up really short compared to other methods until I ran the clusters through the infernal furnace, where I ended up with 172 iron bars and 28 nuggets instead of 88 iron bars and who knows how many nuggets.
Anyway, the question is if the infernal furnace is supposed to be giving that huge of a bonus or if something has bugged out along the way, I never really used the infernal furnace before now. A pulverizer would have gotten 88 bars, considering the 32 iron cost with this method it was an additional gain of 55 bars, meaning it slightly more than tripled after costs on that run.
