I built a 35 x 35 fenced in area. Built 20 6x3x3 houses in it. Gather up
2 villagers and put them in there. Was doing well till I got to 7 villagers.
Now it seems they won't have anymore offspring.

do I need to make it bigger?

Village max population is based on the number of doors; you need approximately 3 doors for each villager. See http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Village#Expanding_and_creating_villages for the gory details.

thx iron golem just appeared in my village, so that must mean i have 16 villagers^^. I just put doors everywhere each house has doors all around them^^
