Very bad FPS

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Very bad FPS

Launcher Type FTB Launcher

Modpack DireWolf20

Modpack version 1.10.2

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file

Details of the issue So I just downloaded this mod pack (DireWolf20) and when I get into a world I get a steady 2-4 fps , this is also the same problem I get after I download curse/twitch mod packs too. And last time this happened I put a mod called "FastCraft" and that seemed to work until the newer versions of minecraft came out. And it can't be my computer because this problem literally hit me yesterday night when that morning it worked fine. A weird thing is that I only have the fps issue in the mod packs I have downloaded since yesterday not ones that I already have. Anything I can do to fix this? (Tried optifine and betterfps + lowering settings)

post a log file sounds like to me that a update might have made modpacks use the onboard GPU

Allocating 12.8GB of ram will only cause issues for you - it's way too much.

For 1.7.10 packs - 2.5 - 4.5gb
For 1.10.2 packs 4-6gb

Always start low and give more if needed.

Remove optifine.

Did you install the graphics drivers via windows update or did you download them from the vendor?

You could re-install them = download from vendor and do a clean install, then restart your computer.

Retry the game and post new log if it still fails.
