Vanilla Mob Spawner in FTB Unleashed.

So i'm currently playing in FTB Unleashed, with a few other mods added in, Matter Rejigger, Weeping Angels, Dyeable beds that sort of thing, not massive game changers but for some reason a vanilla mob drop doesn't seem to be working. I know the schematic I'm working with works in Vanilla as I built in Sky Blocks but now it doesn't want to work the mobs don't spawn, and nothing falls to its death, I even went down the creating Soul Cage's using Soul shards and all that and after a long and arduous process and I still have nothing to show for it as the mobs don't spawn unless i'm stood right next to them. I was hoping to find a way of making my preexisting concept work rather than continue down the soul cage path as I get the feeling you have to be near them for that to work anyway and not be on the ground 25 blocks below. If someone could let me know what i'm missing that would be great, I feel like i'm missing something important but I don't know what. If there's additional factors contributing to this lack of mobs spawning that I could do with some clarification.

You do need to be standing within a certain range of a vanilla spawner, or it's indeed the case that nothing'll happen.

Higher level soul shard spawners don't have this limitation, but if you're very far away from them the game engine'll instantly delete anything they produce.
