Hey people!
since a few monds i got an ssd in my pc its super awesome but i dont want to download minecraft vanilla cause it takes a lot of memory and i only got 60 gig on my ssd.
so is there anyway i can add vanilla mc to my FTB launcher?
or just a other way to change the install directory from minecraft its own?

You could use something like MultiMC that saves the minecraft where you have the program running from. However TBH I have a highly modded client on my SSD along with another modded one in MultiMC and two of the FTB packs and that is only taking 350 MB or so each if not less so running it off another HDD is kinda pointless. (Just to clarify I have a 120GB SSD so like you I do often have to think about where I put programs luckily I have a 2 and a 1 TB drive also in so its not too bad as I install to the 1 and use the 2 for storage)

Vanilla MC on my computer takes up 72 MB. How is that an issue on a 60GB drive?

Regardless, even if it was in the launcher, it would have to be saved somewhere, requiring just as much space.

Most people with SSDs also have another drive as I said above I do so while it has to be saves somewhere for most bigger programs anywhere except the SSD is preferable. (Its why until a little while ago when they added libraries (IIRC they are called that) I hated steam for making you install programs onto the drive you have steam on)

indeed, i want to keep my ssd clean and want only windows on it.
