Details of the issue So after lots of time trying to figure out what was going on with my server, I finally noticed that the Curse client was using the older stable release, whereas the download on the official page is for the more recent beta version.

So after realizing that I edited my curse profile to use the newest compatible beta version thinking it would fix itself.

But why am I still getting all these errors? I can't connect and get a long list of Mod Rejections. Am I better off using the previous server release for the 1.9 client?

I have also attempted to copy the mods, config, and settings from the client in order to try and fix the version issues.

Mod rejections simply means that the server and client have different versions of the mods. If you use version 1.9 on the server, you have to use 1.9 on your client.
