Using ResourcePack for shadermod support

I've been tinkering with both resource packs and shader mods/packs for the last little bit. Does anyone know where the support for getting mod textures to include the effects that vanilla textures get with shader packs actually is? (ie the swaying leaves and grass?). I really hope they aren't hardcoded into the shader mod/pack.

After some digging through the shaderpacks I have found that the values for "things with special effects" are all hardcoded by their id, the seus shader pack "supports" BoP through a massive "or" statement when it assigns the leaf block id an effect (hope you didn't change that config m8s). This is all very horrifying, I was really hoping to get some sort of sane mod support out of this.
