what do you mean by installing a fresh instance? Deleting it and redownloading it?[DOUBLEPOST=1410994266][/DOUBLEPOST]I don't have anything that edit textures that im aware of. Could you double check the crash report to see if mods do?Yeah, it seems you are having issues with textures, no matter what. Try installing a fresh instance of minecraft, and removing anything that may edit textures (MCPatcher, Better Glass, etc.)
I dont have any of those mods.As I said, I haven't used some of the mods, and I have probably missed some. But if you installed Optifine, MCpatcher, BetterGlass, ConnectedTextures, BetterGrass, Shader Pack... then that may be the issue.
And yeah a fresh instance:
remove your mods/configs/saves folders out of your .minecraft folder. Delete everything in that folder. Redownload minecraft, reinstall forge, replace the config/mods/saves folders, and see how it goes.
Thank youWell ask whoever you like
I can only give what I would assume works, as I have never had an issue like that before. Many different crash reports, but never one with textures.
I'll leave the thread unanswered, for anyone else to answer. I'd change your thread title to:
[urgent] default textures crashing game
or something like that...
No[DOUBLEPOST=1410997710][/DOUBLEPOST]When I take out extra utilities, it then says something about IC2 coffee being messed up.Does it load with the updated version of Twilight Forest, but without Extra Utilities?
Would there be reasons why it COULD be a mod reason? I don't really want to go through the process of reinstalling mc and having to copy everything and paste it in after its re downloadedI'm guessing your best bet is probably to do as suggested above, and completely refresh your minecraft instance. As it's coming up across various mods, and removing them doesn't fix it, it's likely not a mod issue.
Unless you have a mod that changes the textures of other mods, then no.Would there be reasons why it COULD be a mod reason? I don't really want to go through the process of reinstalling mc and having to copy everything and paste it in after its re downloaded
By all means go ahead. I doubt it'll work, but give it a go. Feel free to try as many alternatives as you wish.Couldn't I play the pack on, let's say, the technic launcher? Since it seems to be something with MC.
Ok I understand. I will try reinstalling minecraft. What do I copy to a different folder to save and copy over to the new mc? Like all my saves and mods and stuff?Matt, I don't want to sound like a douche, but we have told you the way to (more than likely) fix your issue, and you are trying to find alternatives. Maybe you should just listen.
And yes, you could try the technic launcher, or the FTB launcher. But what's the use if you don't know 100% what the issue is? Many people use the vanilla launcher to test their potential packs before submitting, so they know that the pack at least works, even if it buggy (crafting recipes don't work, world gen is dodgy, sorta buggy... not game crashes on load buggy)
Once you have reinstalled minecraft, you can either re-add the whole mods/configs folders all at once (as you can remove them, store them in a different folder, etc.) and see if you still get the issue, or you can add it the mods back one by one until they are all added, or until you get a crash. EITHER WAY please do it, or people will probably be less inclined to help as you keep rejecting what advice they give you.
Mods, config files, and saves should be enough. If you want to be really cautious, you could just keep the saves and configs, and get fresh installs of the mods. If you want to be really really cautious, and/or you haven't altered the configs much, then just keep the savesOk I understand. I will try reinstalling minecraft. What do I copy to a different folder to save and copy over to the new mc? Like all my saves and mods and stuff?
OK I'll be doing this later[DOUBLEPOST=1411065917][/DOUBLEPOST] thanksDo this:
Copy your: Saves, Mods and Configs folders into a different folder.
Delete everything which is left in your .minecraft folder
Open Minecraft.exe (or whatever the launcher is on your system)
Run MC version 1.7.10
Close minecraft
Download the latest version/recommended version of forge for 1.7.10 installer (do latest if you know any of your mods need the latest)
Run the installer, let it do what it needs to
Run minecraft on the new forge profile that has been created
Close minecraft, and re-add the folders you removed earlier into the .minecraft folder
See if it now works
