I assume you mean on your Beta Pack A server. The Beta Pack A did not use standardized configs, so it would be harder than you might think. Have you tried just running your world with the Mindcrack pack? Apparently there will be world conversion tools coming shortly if it does not work.

I don't care about losing the world,I'll just start fresh. But do I have to alter the beta pack A? Or what? I'm just not sure...

Download the server software for Mindcrack. It's in the same place where you got the Beta Pack A server

Oh you change the filters in the launcher from Client to Server then download the mindcrack pack like you would anything in the launcher
