Updated Lancher to 1.4.12 and it deleted EVERYTHING (Solved, got all back)

Details of the issue:
Probably nothing can be done but trying anyways. clicked to accept update launcher and after it was done went to update Infinity Evolved by first making a manual backup and folder had only the .txt files. Went from 7 GB to 15 kb. So probably over wrote everything with nothing. Last manual backup was Jan. so not worth restarting from all the intracit detailed pipeing and what not and test worlds.... Well time to find something new to do unless there if some hidden backup or new file location. My fault for not backing up or not frequent enough. Any automatic backup programs to recommend?​

tried deleted file recovery and nothing looked like it showed up. Then again it was probably overwritten by ftb, and there are a lot of files in world saves, plus no clue where to even begin to look for those files within a few thousand random named files

Did you have it installed in some other location before?

Update of the launcher and/or update of a mod pack doesn't "overwrite" your world saves.

Well ether I'm a idiot, FTB knows how to code, or both!

Thank you Grandrolf I had just given up and went looking for you. You where totally right! I did a whole computer search for anything caller "save" and not only did my backup folders come up but my current ones as well!!!!!!! The FTB launcher update for some reason put my entire c:\ftb folder into folder called c:\GvTemp or something did. Maybe FTB puts it into that then updates and forgot to put it back. lol Ether way I don't care just have it back!

Thank you. You knew it was something stupid like that and I didn't think it would be even possible. Shame on me! Thank you again!

Off to do something in ftb now! also back in up again lol

If any of this is said wrong, offensive, or what not all im getting across is thank you grandrolf. I have recently been told I say things that are interpreted wrong by my tone and text never helps that lol

No, it does not.

According to google c:\gvtemp is a sign of virus or created by gigabyte's OC guru application.

Ok then something funny happened. Maybe with gigabyte's program as I have it. Did do a driver update beforehand too. Hmmm then put it down as something else messed with FTB and not FTB. Sorry for blaming you guys :oops:.
