Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section but I wanted to offer some help for those unable to download like myself, for the past few days I had been trying to get the modpacks but the connection was timing out and screwing with my network connection making it turn off resulting in me having to disable and enable it manually again in network connections every single time it timed out. However after some searching for similar issues unrelated to FTB but related to Java I found a possible solution of updating network card drivers, most people won't need to do this if you're running windows 7 & above as most stuff will be new and have modern(ish) drivers. But for users like myself who still use XP and have older systems an often overlooked thing is leaving your network card on the stock drivers (mine were dated 2005). So I used the auto driver update utility which gave me a 2009 version and have now been able to download the pack without any issue.
So just a heads up and maybe the tech support may want to mention this in their solutions to others who won't see this thread as it's something that did work for me and not a solution I had seen mentioned anywhere on the forums
