5331. Cool. It's always great to have chem teachers that are willing to show dangerous things. We once threw a chunk of potassium and sodium into a bit of water, with all the effects you could imagine. It was for the best we did it outside.

5332. In 6th grade my science teacher took the class outside and showed us something to do with hydrochloric acid, I forget what exactly, but it was very exothermic and very cool! :D

5335 After the AP test in AP Chem, we did Alka Seltzer and water in old film canisters. And then someone used a plastic water bottle and sealed it after we were all behind the doors watching... 'Twas fun.

5340. I once accidentally blew up a funnel. We were making nitrogen triiodide though, so that kinda makes sense. The stuff is highly sensitive, and quite explosive. I'm still amazed I convinced my teacher to let us make it.
