4381 It's called Blood and Steel. It's supposed to be challenging, but I've only been playing for 45 mins and I already have tinker's up and running, and I also got 16 diamonds in the first 20 mins so I guess you can say I'm balling out of control.

EDIT: Although, I am having troubles finding tin to make bronze...

Speaking of difficult modpacks. Do you think it'd be a good idea to create a modpack of which the base concept would be to cut down ore-yield significantly?
1 ore -> 1 nugget of metal.

The progression of the modpack would be to combine/chain several mods' ore doubling mechanics to get a decent yield per ore.

I know this would be a LOT of work. I have done it before, on MC 1.7.10. Back then, the ultimate chain of ore processors, consisting of around 20 ore processing steps, could actually produce metals out of nothing, but the several types of power needed for the subsystems.

What would be a good Minecraft version for this modpack? 1.10 or 1.11?
Originally, I used Thaumcraft (with addons), IC2, Factorization and Mekanism, some of which were never updated past 1.7.
I am looking for mods with unique ore processing semi-products and for mods with unique ore processing processes. (I wouldn't really know how to use something like Magical Crops or Ex Nihilo, but I'm open to suggestions.) At the moment, I can only think of Mekanism and Tinkers' for MC 1.10+. CraftTweaker support is almost definitely a must.

Other mods touching ore processing, like DenseOres, Nether Ores and Metallurgy, would also make great additions.

While that was good in the original TiCon, you really need to expand your horizons chap! As @MrMonsterGuy18 very rightly said, iron actually makes a great starter material for the head - that little magnetic pull actually makes a big difference!
4387 I did make an iron pickaxe just because, but I was really disappointed that I couldn't get bronze :(

4392. Goddamn it that was me - it's because I was posting on my mobile at the time, I can't see the post numbers (I usually double check)

EDIT: unless I put my phone on its side... huh. Didn't realise that.
