I did try and read the most recent WW thread, but I really struggled to follow what was going on - I sense there was a lot I was missing. Unfortunately, though I've been on here a lot recently, I can't guarantee being able to be consistently present for a game, which I suspect would be an issue.
4150 There is quite a bit that goes unsaid: Pyure always gets killed first, I am a psychomaniac, and each person with abilities has a special convo with @erindalc to use their abilities. It is mafia with more roles, and currently the next game has been closed to the public (signups are over). Maybe try next game in like a week or so?
4151. Ah, I've not played Mafia either, so its a lot of new things for me. Also, I listened to that track - not my usual sort of thing, but I liked it!
4152 So in mafia there are four basic roles: The townsmen, the sheriff, the doctor, and the mafia. Everyone's roles are kept secret.
The mafia's job is to eliminate everyone.
The sheriff is trying to find out who the mafia are.
The doctor is trying to protect the townsmen.
The townsmen are trying to survive.
Each night the mafia kill someone (generally it is one person per living mafia).
Then the sheriff determines someone's role.
Then the doctor decides to save someone. The doctor has the possibility to save someone who does not need to be saved.
Then during the day, everyone wakes up and see who is dead. Then everyone votes to lynch someone. They can lynch anyone. The sheriff tries to direct the lynching towards the mafia, and the mafia try to direct the lynching toward anyone but the mafia.
In werewolf there are a few more roles, and all are listed here: Rolesheet
And the song is an MLG song so if you ever watch an MLG montage you may hear it!

4154 It's ok, I had a hard time on my first mafia game!
4157. I always worry about spoiling things by not knowing what I'm doing; this is why I never progressed with the D&D campaign I was going to run - I got so caught up in worrying about whether I would do it right that I gave up on doing it at all!
4161 I started my own DND campaign. First time GMing. I tried accounting for everything and eventually gave up. I have a storyline and I make up stuff as they go. Made a few tables to roll to make things more interesting then use puzzles I find online. Usually have one or two. And I'll bump up or double thief health if doing too good of a job or kill one off if they suck. So far it's working.
