Unstable crashes consistently right around loading "baking" mod-subpack

Checking on curse I receive an alert that my graphics card driver is outdated. I've had issues with vanilla minecraft crashing in-game on a server and suspected this as the issue. I downloaded the latest driver from the manufacturer so maybe I'm SOL.
