Unobtainable log variants?

Simply, what are these wood variants, what mod are they in, and how do I get them? They seem like they're in Forestry, but I see NO way to obtain them outside of creative, at all.

as far as i know, forestry doesnt add any trees at all, or am i wrong?

forestry does not add any tree's indeed. it adds bees, but that is soemthign else entirely.
The extra trees you see are from biomes XL and twilight forest.
those added by twilight forest are unique to that dimension, altho you may pick up a sapling and transplant them into the overworld. (some of the Twilight forest trees does not drop lumber btw. only sticks).

Couldn't find the trees ANYWHERE.
Looked in the ExtrabiomesXL config, and nope, not a single thing related to any of the wood variants.

Went back into creative, looked in NEI, and yep, all the blocks are located in the same area as all the other forestry items. Can't find a way to obtain them ANYWHERE. Or even any information on what they are or could be.

Its my (imperfect) understanding that these are forestry trees, and that they are not currently obtainable. I've heard they might be obtainable via breeding in the 1.4.5 version of the mod, but I do not know if that is in effect or even how such a mechnic would work.

Twilight forest adds 4 trees, all with "work in progress" saplings. None of these trees are the ones I've been trying to find information on.

Yes. Amazing, they shall be. Just look at all the colors when you add these woods in!

They are from Forestry. They haven't been implemented into world gen yet. They were added to creative mode in the same update that added alvieries. One of the reasons for adding them is so the bees in the alvieries could be easily identified by what color of half slabs were on the top.

Agree with the above sentiments. Forestry DOES add trees as items in the game, but not currently generating. This is why the beekeeper's house is made of funny looking wood (cherry wood, yellowish), but that's the only place to obtain it.

Saplings for some of the upcoming trees are in the version of Forestry included in the Magic Pack. They can be found in creative/NEI, and supposedly in dungeon chests. Why don't they stack?

... they have a genome like bees. It's not used yet, but it's planned™.

The saplings are balsa, sequoia, larch, cherry and lime.
