I've got most renewables setup and Certus seems to be the only resource giving me problems. I've got a MFR laser running with 6x white foci, but the amount of Certus ore I'm getting is very low compared to other ores obtained from this system [currently have 2+ stacks of Nether Quartz ore and only 12 Certus ore].

I'm aware extra bees has a branch to solve my Certus problem, but it's an updated version. My version of extra bees is what shipped with Unleashed. I looked over the downloads at Binnie's site and saw 2 updated versions for MC 1.5.2 but each time I try to apply either update, I get conflicting/missing ID errors and I'm not familiar enough with FTB to trust myself fixing them. I've looked around for posted solutions to the ID problem with extra bees updates in 1.5.2 and couldn't find any.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem and gain access to the Quantum branch in 1.5.2?

Resolving IDs is not easy the first time. The standard process, however, is to go into the new/changed mod's config folder and move its IDs around. You don't want to move existing mods IDs or you'll break your world.

Are you saving the ./config/forestry/extratrees/main.conf file or overwriting it ? I would try to save it or at least hand-merge if new items or blocks were introduced.

...and, yes. I also love Quantum bees. They aren't easy to get, but they are worth it. I let 3 Alveraries w/6 Impregnated Frames each and Fastest Production Quantum Bees run for ~6 hours and I got several hundred Certus dust. I then IC2 Compressed most of that into Certus crystals.

One thing to consider is that if something's name gets changed (i.e. a bee got renamed or something), it gives a "false positive" ID conflict error. If you have both available, look at both versions of the config and see what changed.

The point where I stopped the process and reverted back to the shipped version is where I'll select the world to load and get stopped at the screen where the ID conflicts are listed. This should have potentially generated a config for the updated version of extra bees.

So the plan is to copy that info down, and then look though both configs to see what changed and change the IDs in the updated config to match my current world?

Just update your unleashed to 1.1.7.
Hmm...the main reason why I haven't already updated the entire pack is 1.1.7 [or any version above 1.1.3] hasn't been pushed to 'recommended' so I can only assume there's still problems with the updated versions. And with you guys pushing out packs for 1.6, I don't see much concern for fixing things in previous versions. Just my opinion based loosely on experience in modded MC.

1.1.7 is perfectly stable

Well, stable or not...updating to 1.1.7 does not solve my problem. Updated to 1.1.7, tried to load my world, and again I'm looking at an ID missing/mismatch screen.

edit: and now that I've updated to 1.1.7, I can no longer play 1.1.3 without reinstalling? Brilliant!

edit 2: apologies if my previous edit seemed petulant.

edit 3: since I'm at the point of reinstalling with a backup, I went ahead and let the world load anyway...ID mismatches be damned. Cursory check shows all my stuff is present and operational.

The mismatch doesn't necessarily mean a block in the world is mismatched. As well 1.1.7 is far more stable than 1.1.3 it likely will not be pushed to recommended, not because of problems within it, but problems for those that upgraded past 1.1.3. It also will fix your bee problem as it has the version of extra bees that has them.
