Silly title yes, but I'm having issues with power output on one of my ISE arrays and I'm pointing fingers at the steam turbine.
I've got 10 36HP boilers running full-blast, with 1.5.x connections [2 Tesseracts/7 Liquiduct boiler connections per boiler], 2 x 72 ISE arrays and a Factorization steam turbine powering my crystallizer array. The crystallizers are set to craft on-demand, and only craft the logic things ATM. Prior to the crystallizer, my ISE arrays were running full-blast [once I got the piping to 1.5.x specs] and this makes sense since I have 2 more boilers than I needed [I had plans to also run some Steam Ovens]. With the extra steam and my overabundant use of routers in this build, I decided to automate my crystallizers and in doing so, created a renewable charge system for the batteries. Some time later I noticed one of the ISE arrays' steam piping not filled.
First, I looked around the Interwebs to see numbers for steam consumption for the turbine [since I'd wired it to be 'always on'. No numbers to be had
[I guess everyone's using power converters]. To combat the 'always on' of the steam turbine, I tried using a gate on both a battery and the turbine. I couldn't get a reading off the battery, and the reading off the turbine relate to a hidden steam tank. Best I could come up with was choosing 'has liquid' and using this to pulse the Tesseract on/off so as to minimize the turbine's steam usage.
I'm ok with building more boilers [plenty of space and excess of biofuel] to keep my ISEs running at max output, but does anyone have an alternative suggestion?
FYI: my crystallizer array numbers 17 and is a pretty flower shape. It also is filled randomly via round-robin so using 'has work' or some such with a gate reading the crystallizer wouldn't work to well.
