Was playing SMP with my nephew on my own server when I got the following crash. It happened 4 time to me and also to him, client just shut off but the server was still running. Can anyone tell me why this happened as I just recently install new a new version of Java after uninstalling the old ones.

Please follow these steps exactly: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/9/0/basic-troubleshooting
This is to rule out any issues with your client setup.

If you continue to have trouble, please post your complete client-side console log in debug-mode to pastebin.com and link your paste URL here.
To find your logs: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/inde...29/1/what-log-do-you-need-where-can-i-find-it

All steps done. Using my main as he test and my laptop as the control experiment. Been running the game for several hours without a hitch and so far, I didn't have any more unexpected shutdowns. Placed back the textures i was using and still no problems. It it possible that Java closed because I set the max memory that the game uses to 8.5GB?

EDIT: Just crashed again almost 2 hours after I posted this and it's the same set-up I had before:

Hopefully, we can figure out what is happening.

Would it be possible for you to upload the Minecraft crash log? If you could, enable the console on the ftb launcher and set it to debug. Once the client closes, copy it all and make a new paste @ pastebin. This would make it alot easier for us to understand what's happening.

Already posted the Debug, it's marked "Untitled". Can't get it after the crash as the console closes as well. Those are the only 2 logs I have, unless you want the Forge log also. And please specify which one if you do.

Ah, sorry, missed it. Anyway, judging from the log, the server doesn't like you having vsync disabled. It just goes on in a never ending loop of invalid values. Looks like the only workaround for now would be to enable vsync, which just limits fps to what the desktop normally is.

When it crashed today, I wasn't on my server. And the endless GL Errors are because I'm using 64x, 128x and 256x texture together as I couldn't find them all at 256x. My nephew experiences the same crashes, but he only uses a 256x texture pack.

Will try vsnyc to see if that helps.

Just noticed something. I made a Geothermal Generator and the bar in the GUI goes only half-way. Also, I the sound it's supposed to make just beeps, the front doesn't stay lit (it flashes) and I get lag running it.

I don't think this is an issue with render, it's an issue with sound. The error occurs from a call to openAL64.dll

Edit: ok after looking a bit more, you have two errors. Both an AL and the GL render error.

I believe the AL error is being caused by matmos. Try removing it.

In order to fix your GL error, you will need to rebuild the mod pack. You should be able to just force update (backup custom configs first.) If that doesn't work, back up your saves and custom configs and delete the whole modpack and redownload it.

I've had the GL error happen several times on my custom 1.5.1 pack without texture packs or optifine installed using multimc. Rebuilding the mod pack has been the only solution I've found so far once it starts.

I know what's causing the GL errors, it's the fact that I'm using 64x, 128x and 256x textures. I can't find all of them 256x because the texture makers won't make them...some gave an explanation while other flat-out refused. So I'm forced to mix and match.

As for the AL errors, can you post the lines for them so I can tell the maker of Matmos about them? Can't do it now as I have to get to work very early.

It's in your second pastebin it specifically states it's a bad call to openAL64.dll at the top of the raw paste and I believe it's matmos, but I'm not positive it's matmos.

And if the opengl error was simply from your textures, I wouldn't get the same error when running no texture pack what so ever.

I'll have to test it, thanks.

Off-topic: when you run a geothermal generator, does it behave like it should or does the front part of it flash and the bar on the GUI only become half filled?

EDIT: Deleted all FTB and reinstalled a fresh copy, used my saved game and still the geothermal generator acts strange. Guess it's a mod problem as I used no other mods or textures.

EDIT: Deleted saved game and started over again with clean install of the Ultimate Pack and no texture packs.
Front stays steadily lit, sound is clear, but the bar in the GUI is still half filled. Removing Matmos as it's the probable cause.

Final Conclusion: I'm stumped. Sound has improve (can hear it better), but front still flashes and bar is half filled.

Hrm, that's probably a bug with ic2 then. I don't have ic2 on my custom pack. I'm taking a break from it.

Similar thing happens to me. Definitely a problem with IC2. It's a graphical bug where the whole bar is filled, but only half shows up as filled. It should be fixed in the next version of IC2.
