so update to 1.2.8 launcher crashes at started up waited to 1.2.9 to try again but could not do anything finally found my install folder deleted the folder...after i had to restart java because the FTB seemed to be running in the background still under multi process. delete folders said could not remove folder because files are in use. so after deleted them i ran the launcher exe again i got asked for install folder...it ran for a sec then another crash...same thing happened again i can not delete files because even closing the console it seems it is still running java processes

so now i am stuck i cant even load the launcher

here is my logs after i deleted and tried to launch the exe under a clean install

Do this please: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/9/0/basic-troubleshooting
Many of the issues I've seen tonight have been related to the users game setup, so I'd like to rule that out as a possibility.

Then post your new logs please :)
i frist did the steps above from gonet, i went to java website followed steps to uninstall extra/old versions of java on my pc. i hav 3 extra ones. javafx, java 6 and java7 update 4

after removing them i have a try launching the launcher and it worked

Edit

think my pc has been running on java6 x64 bit version all this time even though it says i also have java7 45. because as soon as i removed these and left the java7 45 32bit i can no longer up my ram in the launcher. uh stupid java website not knowing im on a 64bit system

looks like ill need to remove that java also and try and install the correct java

It most likely detected your browser as 32bit and sent you to the 32bit download.
