unable to open any version of ftb(even ftb lite)

every time i try to open any pack in the launcher it just doesn't open

using windows 8.1 32-bit
i tried all the troubleshooting ways and none worked
Edit:i tried it on windows 7 64-bit with 1.75 ram allocated and yet it doesn't work
