Hey,

First of all, I'm sorry if this is in the post is in the wrong area.

I have been trying to run FTB on my friends laptop for almost 3 hours now... and I have searched for, and tried, numerous fixes with no success. After pressing launch, the last line on the console is always 'Launching with Applet Wrapper'. It doesn't do anything else. Another pop up reads:

FML is setting up your minecraft environment.
Please wait, FML has some tasks to do before you can play.
Currently doing ...
0%

It just stays like that.

My friend's laptop is running Windows 7 64Bit with Java 7 64Bit. I've tried up dating the graphics card, downgrading to Java 6, Reinstalling FTB, and Allocating more RAM.

Please help as I'm really annoyed now!!

Here is the Console text stuff:

Please take your FTB folder out of the location that it is in. Place it in a new folder on your desktop, with no spaces or special characters in the file path. It cannot be placed in any temporary folder, including Downloads. Change the install directory (in the options tab of the launcher) to the new location.

Also, Windows=Java7, Mac=Java6

THANK YOU!!!!! Although I don't understand why it made a difference (Because FTB is not on my desktop on my computer and it works without a hitch), moving the folder and changing the folder name like you suggested worked perfectly. I don't know why I didn't think of doing that to begin with... But thank you so much. My friend and I most certainly appreciate the help you have given us. Thanks!!

For some reason, it can't call the files when there are non-generic characters in the file path. I don't know why, but that's the fix!
