Unable to connect to server

Can someone tell me what is going on, all was well on our server then for no apparent reason no-one can connect, we all get the error below. I was getting this error while a person was on the server playing, he then logged out and got the same error. At first and after a bit of looking i saw that it may be due to mojang being down but we are able to connect to other servers. (Yes all our copies are legit and not pirate) seen that in so many threads.

Did a Google search for the error and came up with a possible solution. This seems to work for some users on the minecraftforum.net and on youtube.com video. They both explain the same thing and the same IP to type in. Hope these help.

are you on a dedicated server or with a server host? Could be a firewall issue...

our server is hosted by an online company, tried the steps mentioned by lavarthan but did not work :( also disabled my firewall and tried but still didnt work.

was unable to connect last night aswell but i am able to connect to different servers still.
