Details of the issue:

So i have a FTB infinity server with a few extra mods loaded in, i am ofc able to connect and so are all my other friends and they all have win7/8 but the freind im living with just upgraded to win 10 and is unable to connect, on my server is will say ''Unexpected packet during modded negotiation - assuming vanilla or keepalives : net.minecraft.network.play.client.C00PacketKeepAlive
and on her end it just says ''timed out'', i have searched on google and tried everything ive found (disabling firewall/antivirus, force updating, reinstalling the whole launcher and mod pack) and nothing works....and the thing is she was able to connect just fine when using win 7 but now is unable on win 10 any idea what the issue could be?​

Solved, had a dependency mod still installed even though i took out the mod that needed it already

I have had something similar happening with me. I play local games with my sister and it worked fine for a couple of weeks then one day after opening to LAN on my computer it wouldn't show up on hers. We tried the other way about and the game showed up on my Laptop but the connection timed out and wouldn't connect. I tried transferring the save game over to her PC but but still wouldn't work. Any ideas?
