Solved Unable to connect to custom server

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Haven't been able to play for a long time, but wanted to get back into it. However I now cannot log in to my server.
Details:
  • MC version 1.7.10
  • Semi custom pack based on Nuts and Bolts(from Technic launcher)
  • Running world on a dedicated server
I am running the world on a dedicated server, but have had the Minecraft server disabled for months. I think the world got corrupted when I had some technical issues and had to force reboot the server, so I replaced it with a backup. The Minecraft server boots up fine now and I can see AE2 auto crafts happening in the server console.
However I am now unable to log in to the server with the client, getting a "Timed out" error.
The client log: https://pastebin.com/LsgA0dWN
Server log: https://pastebin.com/TxJ0weWu

The client seems to work fine on its own, can start up singleplayer worlds just fine. I do not think I have changed anything on either end except updating Java. I have tried disabling firewalls, AVs etc., but still same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally figured it out. Thought I would share if anyone gets into same situation.
Turns out that more than the save got corrupted when I had to force shutdown the server. Found a bunch of "Errored" config files. Tried replacing them with copies from older installation, but wasn't enough. Finally replaced the entire "minecraft" folder, but with newer backup save, and it worked again.
After that I could connect with the client again.
