Aye, magmatic engines don't explode, but they will shut down if they get too hot, and they'll need to be whacked with a wrench should that happen. I dunno if conduits will explode, I've gotten far too paranoid about that to let it get that bad since my first few mishaps with it happening.

You should definitively use TE conduits, they never explode and they will slow down your magmatic engines when there is too much energy (no overheating). Honestly, I think there's almost no use for BC conductive pipes anymore, TE conduits are far superior in almost any situation, except for powering the first machine setup early game...

TE conduits have a 5% energy loose on every distance, if you gonna use engines to power something really close use golden conductive.

Since they can explode the 5% loss is easy to overcome.Also with conduits TE magmatic and steam engines can throttle themselves if there's no power needed and that saves you much more power than that 5%.
