At least for now, we are using Industrial Credits as our economy system, and Trade-O-Mats for transactions (entire admin shop uses this)
Towns
The ultimate protection against griefing: the MyTown plugin, which is similar to towny with more customization, stabilization, and protection from mod items.
Lockette
Better to just use MyTown to protect your things, but Lockette can and will keep any chests secure.
Scaled down donation ranks
Donation ranks are designed in a way to not disrupt the quality of game play for any players (Donating is more about helping improve the server than helping improve your own status)

Server host is Chromobyte, CPU is Intel Xenon E3-1270v2 (Overclocked) with 32 GB Ram, 128 GB SSD + 500 GB HDD and 1000 Mbps 5 TB Bandwidth connection and is hosted in Chicago. Gotta love our donators for making it possible to pay this $185 USD / month!
