Two quick questions.

First of all, I have GregTech completely disabled, for my single player Mindcrack world, but the mulitplayer Mindcrack server I want to play on requires it. I don't believe it affects world-gen too much, other than ores, so if I added it to an already fairly well-lived in world, would it cause issues?
I don't really have many machines going yet, or any project-table-recipe-things that might cause issues due to GTech changing recipes.

Alternately, is it possible to create a second profile in the launcher with the same minecraft Username that would allow me to have a second version of Mindcrack with GregTech activated? Or some other method of doing so?

I'm new to FTB, so sorry if I'm asking questions with well known or obvious answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that the profiles and mod packs are separated. You can import mindcrack into multimc and change it there. It will be separate from the original mindcrack.

Yeah multimc is probably the best solution, it's very easy to import packs from the ftb launcher, and you can basically have as many as you want.
