As much as I think things probably won't be updated or fixed (because of the upcoming new forums with Curse), just discovered this when trying to set up two-factor authentication in the dark theme.
This made it hard/impossible for the scanner to read the QR code. I couldn't be bothered typing the code out, so I just Chrome-Developer-Settingized it into having a white background and 30px padding
It'd be nice if it could be given a proper background however, QR codes (if I remember correctly) are meant to have a minimum of 20 px of padding and have a sharply contrasting colour, like white.
(hope the obfuscation on the QR code and text is enough to make it unusable )
