Hey, I just moved into the twilight forest on my server and was wondering, is there a good way to get IC power in the twilight forest?

Your best bet is using an MFE with energy crystals. There's not way to transport EU through dimensions unless you're at the endgame and you can afford the Interdimensional blah blah from gregtech.

Everything except for regular solars should work. Windmills are an especially attractive option if you choose to make a tree house because you will be really high up in the air and can better benefit from the wind power. I've been rocking a water mill - retriever combo in my twilight forest, and it has proved sufficient in powering my outpost there.

Given the forest theme, how about:

Tree farm (Steve's Carts or Forestry) -> cook logs to charcoal -> IC generators

Alternatively (when you have the tech), replace the generators with a boiler & steam turbine. The extra saplings could be used for bonus biogas production too.

Sure there is, and it's fairly cheap, too:

BatteryFiller:

Ender chest with empty batteries -> Power storage block to fill battery -> Ender chest with full batteries.

BatteryUser:

Ender chest with full batteries -> Power storage block to empty battery -> Ender chest with empty batteries.

I had it set up with filters and retrievers originally, but a single turtle can do the job just as well without needing to be RP powered for batteryUser. BatteryFiller is a bit more complicated with how turtles read items, and is easily done with two filters and a timer.

This will allow you to move any sort of battery item (I use lithium batteries as we've got loads of them just sitting around) between dimensions and keep your EU flowing.

I personally love nuclear reactors. I think they are fun to build and play with. They can also be used anywhere with minimal space requirements. (3x3 at most)

There's several options:

1) Nether Lava -> Geothermals. It's relatively easy to set up, moreso now with Tesseracts, and it works quite well
2) Water Tower. Really, the bucket brigade method isn't all that effective anymore with the nerf to the output.
3) Wind power. There's wind towers that can match CASUC level power output, if you build them right.
4) Nuclear. You can have a Mk. I reactor set up for around 420 EU/t relatively painless. Other designs require more... effort.

Honestly if you're that far along you can always crank up the fusion reactor. No boom potential and all the power you could ever use. Pipe it into a crapton of storage units for a short run and you should be good for some time. That way you don't have to always keep it running (takes lot to keep producing the reaction requirements) but have enough power to last a while. If you set it up right you can even have it reactivate when the batteries run low automatically giving you time to generate the fusion materials during the cycles. Just takes a lot of startup power so that aspect of it is costly.

Also, Steam can generate EU, if that's what you want to do. Plenty of ways to set up fuel for a steam generator, tree farms and wheat farms both function perfectly well in Twilight Forest, from which you can produce Biofuel, if you don't want to do the T5 Blaze Shard spawner method.

Not really sure how Twilight Forest makes a difference. Power in the TF is the same as in the overworld. o_O

Not completely, solar panels do not work and the advanced ones give out power as if it were night/raining. Since most people go the solar route (Easy and free EU's) I assume the OP used to do the same, and is wondering what to do without them.

Nuclear, I use nuclear anyway :p
Just set up a simple Mk1, and if you're using Gregtech, do a combo thorium/plutonium.
Hook em up to your MFSU bank with some AND gates, and when everyone is full, turns off the reactor.
You can pump out 300+eu/t out of a 2 chamber reactor MK1 no problem.
