Turtles and steve's carts vanishing in ftb unleashed.

I'm running a private ftb unleashed server v 1.1.3 and I had a steves cart wheat farm running. I logged off and the next day when I logged in the next day the cart was missing. I also have a tree farm cart setup as well and that's been running fine.
Now I have also setup in a mystcraft age, direwolf's turtle mining setup. Now last time I check a couple of day's ago it was working fine. I logged in last night and went to turn it on and found half of the turtles were missing and some of them had missing items as well.
Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Very strange - never heard of this before.

Were the affected areas chunk loaded ? Also, did the server crash and restore from an old backup ?

Perhaps the Endermen are really, really pissed off at you and have a conspiracy going. They may be stealing your turtles and carts, heh. I seriously have had an Enderman swipe a critical BC pipe, which caused by farm --> biofuel production chain to break. But, have never heard a mass Enderman campaign to specifically target carts and turtles.

Carts are entities subject to the vanilla bug of falling through the world because entities can load before the world does.

No idea on the turtles though. Though I have no idea what the "direwolf mining setup" is.

Yes Both areas were chunk loaded. I did rollback to an old backup over the last week but that backup was only 4 hrs diff and both the systems were working in that backup.
The mining setup is where you use turtles with mining wells with two chuck loaders to keep it always loaded. Its the setup direwolf20 used on his latest forgecraft 1 series. Do a search on his you tube channel will bring it up, its quite cool.
