turtle/computercraft help

I'm a complete novice when it comes to turtles so I don't know anything.

What I want is a program that will build me a wall (a very large and long wall) so I found this http://www.hernblog.com/ian/wall.lua only problem is that doesn't work in turtleOS 1.4

Can anyone tell me what I need to alter to get it to work in 1.4 OS?
 
I'm not at home till tomorrow so I can't test this, but it looks pretty sound to me. Where is the program failing? Or does it just not run?
 
It runs with no errors but all that happens is my turtle turns around and doesn't place any blocks down.

Edit - sorted it, helps if you give it fuel and refuel it (told yah I was a novice)
