That's because as mentioned in the first post, I'm using the same building (something I can see from my window) as inspiration.
Just how unstable is this pack that it corrupts the world a few times a week?
To be fair we can't blame the pack entirely. The first time was down to the server, it's shared with a highly popular ARMA3 mod and is the main dev area for said mod. Issues occur and such this time an issue wiped out our entire main sever cluster, prompting a reinstall that bugged the map.
The tesseract issue is more user error, most people were aware of the almost intended bad compatibility between TE and mekanism and as such we hoped no one would try mixing them. Lesson learned and tesseracts are now banned.
As for the rest of the issues, resonant rise & yogscast complete was perfectly stable. More so than monster, considering it's running almost twice the amount of mods is a great achievement and I wouldn't want to look down on the work that went into creating it. However the latest patch to 2.9.2.2 brought with it @
Calclavia mods, more specifically resonant induction, which have some serious flaws to them. Now as a new addition to the pack naturally everyone tried it within a few days and hence encountered such bugs in a much more frequent manner than would normally be hit. Add onto that the move onto 2.9 for RR and YC marks the end of 1.6.4 focus so what we had added were mod authors "final" patches, so more bugs than normal is expected.
As you can see from my rant further back, it's annoying to the extreme that some of these bugs have made it in, a lack in testing the folks over at RR noticed and I'm hoping rectify, but bugs happen, not a lot I can do about it.
We are however now taking more comprehensive backups, the addition of myself to the server team means i intend to make sure no more issues crop up and if they do are fixed in a much better way. No one wants to lose the world again.

Yes another move, I'm not too fussed about it, as it is I am running the pack on a very capable system and I aim for a stable 120fps in everything I build, the issue with the last build was while it was 120 most of the time, there were fluctuations that the drop in fps for a few seconds almost gave me a headache.while I know someone will come along with the whole " hurr duh you can't see more than 60fps" well done for you, what your eye can detect however is when fps fluctuates from 90 - 120 rapidly, the changing causes a flickering that annoys the eye.
As for style, I DID get some mod work done, something il update soon with, and I have reaffirmed my intentions of going for a mostly magic gameplay. New changes to ars magica has meant things both need more space but also need to be closer to each other so I'm going for a magic sanctum style, possibly floating in the air. Recently found ICBM has been gutted by its maintainer and he has left it in a state where things like the EMP tower and whitelisting players don't work and hence there is no defence to the missiles people can now access so by placing myself well out the way and possibly looking into magic alternatives to defence is hopefully a good deterant.
I'd like to stick with a Technomancy feel as I like the minechem mad science ect mods that allow experimentation on various mobs, so il see how it progresses as I build.
