Trying to update XYCraft

I'm trying to update XYCraft in the DW20 pack, as the version in the pack is quite out of date. One of the main reasons I want to update is that the Quart Crystal world gen has been reduced, plus various bug fixes.

I downloaded xycraft-1.4.7-0.9.131.zip and put that in my mods folder. I see I also need to update CodeChickenCore from 0.7.1 to 0.7.3, so I download that and put that into coremods. Previous versions of the mods are disabled.

Trying to launch, FML instantly crashes with a message to check the log. The contains a few lines about sucessful loading, but no errors.


Am I missing an important step?

to update xycraft you also need to update chickenchunks/enderstorage/wirelessaddons;core;redpower/NEI and Forge.

Just do what Nalyu said. I should of checked here before spending 2 hours trying to fix xycraft.

Thanks. Updated all of the other chickenbone mods and worked perfectly.

Plus, no more lighting glitches from the chunk loader, and an extra 3-4 FPS in my main base. Bonus! Wonder why all these mods were not updated in the last update?

The Xycraft world update didn't happen until Thursday last week. FTB updates on Mondays. So it wasn't even out when they updated FTB.

Well, here's a weird problem.

Having that glitch at the moment with the Apiaries not detecting their environment on load. So I thought I'd disable optifine since that hooks into everything, and see if I get the same problem.

My gameworld fails to load with errors relating to the chicken bones mods! Put optifine back in again, my game world loads just fine.

Updating XYCraft and the Chicken Bones mods gives me a FPS increase, so I don't really want to revert the DW20 pack to the default , although I'm thinking I should do and await an official pack update. I should then be able to work out which mod is screwing with the Bees.

Looks like a mismatch with your version numbers of WRCBE and CodeChickenCore.

Well, that's odd, as I downloaded the current versions from the MC forums, and works fine with Optifine, but crashes without Optifine. I've reverted my pack back to normal version as I'm trying to track down what is causing the Bee issue.
